Spider-Man was the start of the MCCU (but actually it was Blade with Wesley Snipes) at the dawn of this century and now we have the Blue Beetle with DC comics. they both start with a teen gaining strange and unusual power, a bug of some sort.
The Blue Beetle is a solid movie, with a fresh set of characters and actors.
