14th Annual Chalk Festival, at SYVUHS, coordinated and facilitated by Dr. Emilio Soltero.

Look for the Giant Chumash historical mural. Thank you to all of the local folks; Chumash Tribe; business owners; and parents in promoting this great exposition of student work. We really do appreciate this.

ADMISSION IS FREE!

What: 14th Annual Master’s in Chalk Festival, coincides with Open House at the high school.

When: Chalk Festival takes place May 13 (completed images) 6-8:30pm, and Chalk images created May 12 (media is invited on this day, 8am-9pm).

Approx. 60 large chalk images created by talented students. This is the 14th annual Chalk Festival. Organized by Dr. Soltero. Students will begin the project by first drawing their image onto an 8.5x11 sheet, followed by a larger piece (approx 2x3 feet), and finally the actual chalk image.
