John Buscema A life in Sketches 104 pages
The new John Buscema book, John Buscema: A life in Sketches, is now available for order from Diamond Comics, order code JUN084460, it will go in as backorder when you order after today.
There is no overlap with either of the last two Buscema books, 99.99% never before published work. Hundreds of sketches never before printed.
The book is lovingly dedicated to Sal Buscema, who also contributes many beautiful statements about his late brother. His first sketchbook in the 70' was large format, as is this one, and this new one contains hundreds of drawings like the book from a few years back.
An academic monograph on Buscema's work by Dr. Soltero, who received his Ph.D. in Education, with a focus on sequential art. He is also the author of Draw the Line, a how to draw book. John Buscema also did his famous, How to Draw the Marvel Way, along with Stan Lee.
Featuring hundreds of uninked (and some partial inks by Buscema) preliminary works featuring Conan, Silver Surfer, Superman, Tarzan, Skrulls, and many more.
Dr. Soltero has promoted sequential artist and projects for many years. He will teach two cartoon classes the following week at the Crocker Museum.
