 Ernie made this recreation for the John Buscema: A Life in Sketches book.

He passed away in 2012, very close to the passing date of Tony DeZuniga.

Ernie inked most of the John Buscema Conan pages, and he was a favorite

of Roy Thomas.

Is this a swipe if by the same artist, or is it an homage to the Wolverine cover?

It is a very special Superman/Luthor story that, literally, took years to complete.
