National Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Month

 "April is National Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Month, a time when child wellness and child welfare organizations across the U.S. elevate the importance of creating systems and programs that put children and families first."


It should be every month, every day, and every hour.

Thomas Yeates hung out with some of the Greats; Frank Frazetta, Al Williamson, and Alex Toth

 As a young man, and graduate of the Kubert School, Thomas Yeates spent some days with Al Williamson and then drove over to Frank's house.

Yeates has had many encounters with other greats in the comics, including a visit Alex Toth's home years later.

 What does an ex-Beatle have to do with two spy movies released 50 years apart.

What does Paul McCartney have to with spy movies.

In 1973, McCartney wrote and sung Live and Let Die for the James Bond franchise.

Sacramento Mayor Rejects Cease-Frire in Gaza

Bob Layton worked with John Buscema on Conan.

Gordon Cooper's birthday is coming up

 He flew for the Gemini and Mercury programs, and later the Apollo program.

He was very intelligent and had  many interests including ufos.


He spoke candidly, honestly, and carefully.

Carl Weathers more than just Apollo

  Apollo, Carl Weathers has died.


He achieved fame as Apollo in the Rocky movies in the ‘70s and ‘80s.

In recent years he received accolades for his work in the Mandalorian.

Carl was also an NFL player for the Oakland Raiders for a season. He studied theater.
Later he had small bits until the Apollo role, a role he reprised on several sequels.

He directed several episodes for the small screen, including the Mandalorian.

Carl took part in the Toy Story franchise as well.
