Ron Lim to attend the premiere of Avengers Infinity War

Ron Lim to attend the premiere of Avengers Infinity War--good for him, as he was instrumental to various incarnations of the Infinity books.

Ron Lim is also one of the nicest folks in comics, like Sergio Aragones, Stan Sakai, and Steve Leialoha to name a few.

Jeff Johnson and his martial arts how to draw book

Johnson illustrated a how-to book on martial arts/fighting, Draw Fighting Scenes Like a Pro,  poses many years ago.
He was present at Sac-Con, bringing his books and prints.

The Man that re-charged Iron Man: Bob Layton

Bob Layton showed at the Sac-Con. He was Editor-in-Chief at Valiant comics, ushering many of the titles. The Valiant books were well received.

A few years after his initial start at Marvel he drew the critical Iron Man alcohol issues. The cover was used often in media, and it is considered one of the top 20 comic book story arcs.

Bob Layton also recently attended the Mole Comic Convention in Mexico City (Cuidad de Mexico).
He said the folks were friendly and professional.

Recently he drew a reinterpretation of his famous Ant-Man cover for a trade book.
He was seated next to Ron Lim and family.

Remember when Phoenix (X Men) died ! Belit died too

Before Phoenix ---------spoiler alert--if you do not know in X Men 137, Belit (from Conan) died in Conan 100 the year before in 1979.

Alan Moore Goes to the Movies!

Sort of, they have a comics anthology, Alan Moore's Cinema Purgatorio #1.

The first issue is $5.99 US, and published by Avatar in 2016.

The Max Brooks (of World War Z) story about the Civil War is solid, and the Christos Gage one visually looks like Pacific Rim.

The content is for adults, not for children, kinda like Heavy Metal magazine.

This book started out as a fundraiser.

For Aragonés, Evanier or ERB fans--Groo vs Tarzan!

It had to happen, right. If you are a fan of Evanier and Aragonés you know they are not afraid of any company or character, see Groo vs Conan, and Aragones destroys the Star Wars universe.

HA auction, with art by Aragonés for the IDW Tarzan book

There is an upcoming book, Groo vs Tarzan. Wait and see.

I believe the great cartoonist and illustrator, Tomas Yeates, is illustrating the Tarzan part.

None of the images here are from the Groo vs Tarzan, just here as samples of their, respective, work.
